Set in the 1940’s, HOT SHOE SHUFFLE is a story of the Tap Brothers, seven hard working tap dancers who find out at the reading of their late father’s will that he has left them a fortune. But there are two problems - to collect they have to reproduce their father’s extravagant act the Hot Shoe Shuffle and they have to include their very clumsy sister April in the act, who until now they never knew existed.

It’s Friday night at the local pub bistro & the boys & girls are out for a good time. Dympie & Paula are regulars but this time they’ve brought along the recently widowed Monika. Stephen’s mate hasn’t turned up & he’s saddled with the newly separated Gordon. Will the evening live up to their expectations & will they find what they’re looking for?

With the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989, American playwright Doug Wright stumbled across the amazing story of Charlotte von Mahlsdorf – a true survivor. Defying two of the most repressive regimes of the 20th Century – the Nazis and then the East German Communists – Charlotte courageously provided a refuge for Berlin’s avant-garde, eventually becoming regarded as a national treasure. What’s even more astonishing is that Charlotte was a man, living as a woman.
Season 10th March to 5th April 2008.
